Tamiya welcomes another racing car – this time, the Audi R8 LMS 2008 – paired with our popular TT- 02 chassis. Based upon the Audi sportscar R8 and conforming to GT3 regulations, the Audi R8 LMS was announced in 2008. A 5.2-liter V10 midship engine capable of over 500hp was mounted in a lightweight aluminum space frame. Body sections were modified, and the drivetrain was changed from 4WD to a rear-wheel drive system. From 2009 onward, this car was delivered to racing teams around the world and achieved many racing successes. Required accessories (not included): RC System with Receiver, Servo; 7.2V NiMH Battery Pack, Charger, Paints for Polycarbonat Body (Tamiya PS-XX). 4WD assembly kit, TT-02 Chassis, ESC included, Type 540 Torque- Tuned Motor, Polycarbonat-body. From its first appearance in 1974, the Volkswagen Golf has continued to develop and lead the worldwide compact car class. In 1986, the Golf II GTI 16V was added to the second-generation model Golf II lineup which had made its debut in 1983. With a 1,781cc inline-4 DOHC 16-valve engine, a tuned car took part in global rally races, in 1986 becoming class champion. Tamiya is proud to announce the release of the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) as a 1/10 R/C model assembly kit based on our popular TT-02 chassis. Based upon the Porsche 911 GT3 (released as our 1/10 R/C kits – Items 58712 and 47496), in July 2022, the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) was announced as a car which was developed to conform to GT3 regulations. With a horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine capable of 565ps, this car features lightweight body (only about 1,250kg) with carbon fiber, and flourished at global races such as NLS (Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie) 2024 and 2024 Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS.
