1:12 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R Street 1999
300014084€42.99
About the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R Kawasaki's legacy of cutting-edge sportbikes has inspired motorcycle fans for generations. Recently, the call for 300km/h plus super sports bikes has motivated several manufactures to bring out powerful contenders. Kawasaki answered the call at the 1999 Paris Motorcycle Show, with the impressive debut of their all-new Ninja ZX-12R. This Ninja was reportedly created in the image of a fighter plane, which comes as no surprise considering that its slippery aerodynamics involved the cooperation of the Aerospace Division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. In fact, the ZX-12R spent more time in the wind tunnel during its development phase than any motorcycle in Kawasaki's history. The results are evident: small winglets on the sides of the fairing separate airflow around the bike; small wind deflectors on the lower forks deflect turbulent air from the engine; a long lip on the edge of the fairing further smoothens out airflow. Also, projecting just ahead of the front fairing, a large scoop takes advantage of higher air pressure, heightening intake efficiency. A monocoque frame backbone creates an airbox that allows air to pass through the inside of the bike for cooling in addition to ensuring overall rigidity. The powerplant of the Ninja ZX-12R is a fuel injected 4-cylinder 1,199cc engine that pumps out an abundant 178hp. Its four-into-two-into-one exhaust system features a titanium muffler paired with a catalyzer, which helps eliminate unburned hydrocarbons for cleaner emissions. Kawasaki brilliantly raised the superbike standard in performance, power and aerodynamics with their series flagship, the Ninja ZX-12R.

300014044€24.49
Article number: 300014044 Product: 1:12 Yamaha XV1000 Virago About the Yamaha XV1000 Virago The motorcycle, along with the automobile, has played a big role in transporting humans from place to place for many years. Man has always been able to adapt his tools for specific needs, and as the motorcycle became more and more a sport, or leisure transportation vehicle, it has been designed for more specific purposes. The off road, touring, motocross and speed bikes as well as the basic transportation motorcycle can be seen in most countries, but America seems to have a certain styling all its own. This so called "Chopper style" came about during the mid 1960's from the many modified Harley's done by members of the many motorcycle clubs around the country. There are many long straight stretches of good, high speed roadways in America, and to sit back comfortably, with feet resting on forward pedals and sitting on a very relaxing saddle, brought about these modifications. The Yamaha Company of Japan is well known for quality bikes around the world, and they have been making bikes for specific areas for years. The Yamaha XS650 Special released in 1978 had the American look, and since then this company has marketed bikes with similar styling. The XV1000 Virago is their latest, large bore, American styled motorcycle and sure to become popular. Its front wheel caster angle of 32 degrees provides an extended wheel base of 1525mm, making its straight running ability superb. The wide, pull back type of handle bars and the forward placed foot rests, allow the rider to sit up as if he was on a horse. A separate looking, loose cushion seat is almost like sitting on a sofa, and it is positioned at a height of only 715mm. The 70hp 981cc twin cylinder is in the "V" format and transmits its power via an enclosed drive shaft for quiet, maintenance free operation. The bike comes with much chrome and lots of gold plating, but it is done in such a manner that the bike does not look gaudy. It is a luxurious and comfortable Warning! Sporting a powerful 1000cc engine, it has the compact construction of a 400cc bike. The YZF-R1 was developed for maximum possible cornering ability in a production motorcycle. Boasting a sharp form with multi-reflector lights, the YZF-R1 has been given an unprecedented style. This led Honda to create the NSR500, which was powered by a more powerful V4 engine. It also featured a unique aluminum frame to house the engine and a radical layout in which the expansion chambers and the fuel tank were positioned above and below the engine respectively. The 1984 season was challenging but the following season saw the NSR500 demonstrate its excellent performance to win the championship. Technical data: Length: 166 mm Width: 52 mm

1:6 Honda Monkey 2000 Anniversary
300016030€72.99
Article number: 300016030 Product: 1/6 Honda Monkey 2000 Anniversary About the Honda Monkey 2000 Anniversary It was back in 1961 that a curious mini-motorcycle was seen putting around Honda's "Tama Tech" amusement park. One of the most popular rides in the park, it sported a red frame under a white gas tank, tiny 5 inch tires and a peppy 50cc engine. Riders were said to appear, of all things, simian, and henceforth the motorcycle came to be known as the Honda Monkey. Looking more like a toy than a motorcycle, the compactness and fresh appearance of the Monkey scored high with fans of all ages. Honda revamped the Z100 park version for use on public roads, and brought out the CZ100 model which began to be exported in 1963. The first model to be marketed in Japan was the improved Z50M Monkey, which featured folding handlebars and seat for easy stowing in a passenger car. In January 2000, Honda brought out the 2000 anniversary edition of the Monkey, which sported the image coloring of the 1971 Z50Z(2) model. The production of this special Monkey was limited to 3000 motorcycles. The continued appeal of the Monkey must be both its diminutive size and ease of customization. Each Monkey owner is free to interchange any number of components including the engine parts, carburetor, exhaust pipe and suspension. In fact, over 1500 custom parts are marketed for this playful mini-bike. Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

Article number: 300014057 Product 1:12 Honda VFR 750R 1987 About the Honda VFR750R Honda's release of their limited production, road-going, "works racer" VFR750R made headlines in the motorcycle scene in 1987. The VFR750R is a street-legal counterpart of the formidable RVF750 endurance racer which displayed remarkable potential in the world endurance championships. This bike follows the concept seen in the RVF750, including the use of space-age technology and components such as titanium, carbon-fiber, kevlar, and magnesium. It betters the earlier bikes by a wide margin. The VFR750R also uses a twin-spar aluminum box frame, Pro-Arm (rear swing arm), and a center-lock hub rear wheel. These superlative features and the RVF's racing reputation have made it a collector's item even before the first unit was off the production line. The 748cc, liquid cooled, V4 cylinder 16 valve engine has been kept compact to keep the VFR's overall dimensions very close to the current 500cc Grand Prix racers, for a minimum frontal area. Further, this motorcycle departs from the typical Japanese mass-production practice by using a great deal of human labor on each unit, such as the FRP cowling and windscreen being laid up by hand. The Honda VFR750R is one potent package and has been designed to be very competitive on racing tracks in stock form, yet remain street legal. It will remain a desirable and elusive high performance bike for years to come. Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

300016025soon available again
Article number: 300016025 Product: 1:6 Suzuki GSX1100S Katana 1980 One of the most famous motorcycle shows in the world, is held every two years in Cologne West Germany, and the 1980 show is sure to stand out as one of the most unforgettable. One reason was that Honda released their CX500 turbo for the first time, and the second is that Suzuki"s GSX1100S "Katana" (Japanese for sword) was unveiled. The Honda CX500 attracted attention for its advanced engine techniques and the Katana for its advanced and aggressive body styling, which broke from common traditional motorcycle styling. Although the Katana GSX1100S styling impressed the many thousands of viewers, almost everybody thought that it was just for show and the production model would be quite different. During the summer of 1981, Suzuki released the production Katana with almost exactly the same body styling seen at the Cologne show, with subtle improvements in the engine and running gear. The body styling is from the genius of Mr. Hans A. Muth of West Germany, who spent much time ensuring driver comfort in his design, and which proved out in many wind tunnel tests. The entire styling was derived from research on the best drivers position, and the rearward placed backsteps and unique tank styling were not done just for the pleasing jet age appearance. Large capacity fuel tank and small fairing were blended together for the best airflow around the rider and the bike. Although the bike is most noticable for its styling, every part in it is quality. Engine is an air-cooled, parallel 4 of 1075cc, using 16 valves. With the unique Suzuki TSCC (Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber) in the engine, it puts out 111 hp. This tremendous power transmits into a road speed of 230 k/h and its unique body styling deeps it stable even at these high speeds. Suzuki is shipping a 1000cc Katana GSX1000S tot he American market, and also a 750cc version to the European market as well. Requests from Japanese enthusiasts prompted Suzuki to also market a 750cc Katana GSX750S to their market Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

Honda CB750F
300014006soon available again
Article number: 300014006 Product 1:12 Honda CB 750F The Honda CB750F Motorcycle appeared on the Japanese market in June 1979 and was shortly to become the best seller in the 750 class. Just ten years prior to their 750F release, Honda opened up the field of multicylinder bikes with their now famous four cylinder CB750. Honda had won several Grand Prix motorcycle races with multi-cylinder bikes, and the CB750 was based upon these experiences. The engines worked flawlessly and provided very smooth power, and so shocked the industry that shortly many of the famous makers produced four cylinder large cubic motorcycles. Honda, of course, held the number one position in sales for many years, but then Kawasaki released their "Z" series DOHC 4 cylinder 750 bikes, and took over the number one position, relegating Honda to 2nd place. Honda, however, did not take this set back for long, and continued to improve their engines, and in 1979 released a CB750K DOHC with four valves per cylinder, a powerful 68hp, and new body styling. It was not long before Honda was again number one! The CB750F, released in June 1979 was styled after the very popular European Honda CB900F which had been copied from their racing RCB bike. This styling was new to stock motorcycles in the world. With the low positioned handle bars and rear positioned foot rests, allowed a "slouched" riding position. The style is setting the standard for the eighties. The CB750F is powered by a 4 cylinder DOHC 748cc engine with 4 valves per cylinder, and the 1981 version produces 70 brake horsepower. The bike has a double cradle frame of welded steel tubing, semi-air front suspension system, and FQV damped rear coils. Braking utilizes the dual piston caliper system, with dual discs in front and a single disc at the rear. A newly designed racing type front fender with spoiler has proved to be very popular among the bike enthusiasts. The overall styling of that unveiled in 1979, with the smooth flowing lines from tank to tail light have been retained, and it is likely that this fine motorcycle will stay at the forefront of sales for years to come.
