Their "Supra" series is often described as a re-creation of Toyota's legendary 2000GT sports car, which was an excellent combination of high performance and elegance. Using their latest racing automotive technology, plus their uncanny design genius, the newly designed Supra made its sensational debut during February 1993. Massive and powerful are the words that can best describe this awesome specialty sports car. The top of the line Supra uses a 3-Liter, DOHC 24 valve, straight six cylinder, twin-turbocharged engine, capable of 320 horsepower and 43.6kg/m of torque. In contrast with the company's previous Supra model, which had a very fluid styling composed of gentle curves, the new Supra has a bold dramatic appearance due to its wider body and larger 17-inch wheels. An oversized rear wing has been installed to improve downforce performance during high-speed cruising. This Supra's newly refined suspension has one of the best road holding systems offered by any mass produced sports car, and with its ventilated disk brakes fitted at all corners, and the front end utilizing four piston calipers, it has unmatched stopping power.

Article number: 300024278 Product: 1/24 Renault Alpine A110 ´71 Monte Carlo In 1997, Tamiya released the street version of the Alpine A110 as a 1/24 scale model, and its perfect duplication of the car's nostalgic design was a big hit. Now, Tamiya presents the rally version of the Alpine A110, representing the car that won the 1971 Monte Carlo Rally. The Alpine was developed by Jean Redele, who initially raced with the Renault 4CV. He soon noticed the limitations of its heavy body, and decided to replace it with his own design made of FRP. Redele drove a modified 4CV, dubbed the Alpine, to victory in the Mille Miglia road race in 1955, and continued to develop new versions based on Renault cars. The Alpine A110 was released in 1963, and was based on the Renault 8. It had a 956cc 4-cylinder engine at the rear and lightweight body shell made of FRP. Front suspension featured the independent double wishbone type, while the rear used swing arms. The A110 proved its ability by dominating road races held throughout the late 60's and early 70's, with its win at the 1971 Monte Carlo Rally undoubtedly crowning the pinnacle of its career. With its successful record and beautiful design, the Alpine A110 is adored by motor sports fans worldwide. Skillful reproduction of the Alpine A110's low and sleek body styling. Article number: 300024240 Product: 1/24 Subaru Impreza WRC 2001 Soon after the adoption of the new regulations for the World Rally Championships in 1997, Subaru boldly entered their Impreza WRC. That well-balanced machine was equipped with a powerful horizontally opposed 4 cylinder turbo engine, and secured that year's Manufacturers Title. In the following years, various improvements were made to the car in accordance with changes in the production model. The 2001 Impreza adopted a four-door sedan body and first showed itself at the season opener, the Monte Carlo Rally. The unique appearance of the car was highlighted by small compound headlights, spoiler attached to the extreme rear and blister-style fenders. The engine underwent extensive tuning in an effort to boost responsiveness, and major progress was made in regards to electronic control of the semi-automatic transmission and front, center, and rear differential gearing.
