300024123€28.49
Article number: 300024123 Product: 1/24 Toyota Supra During the early 1970's, the Toyota Motor Company of Japan ventured into the specialty car field, and soon established a reputation for producing cars with both quality and performance. Their "Supra" series is often described as a re-creation of Toyota's legendary 2000GT sports car, which was an excellent combination of high performance and elegance. Using their latest racing automotive technology, plus their uncanny design genius, the newly designed Supra made its sensational debut during February 1993. Massive and powerful are the words that can best describe this awesome specialty sports car. The top of the line Supra uses a 3-Liter, DOHC 24 valve, straight six cylinder, twin-turbocharged engine, capable of 320 horsepower and 43.6kg/m of torque. In contrast with the company's previous Supra model, which had a very fluid styling composed of gentle curves, the new Supra has a bold dramatic appearance due to its wider body and larger 17-inch wheels. An oversized rear wing has been installed to improve downforce performance during high-speed cruising. This Supra's newly refined suspension has one of the best road holding systems offered by any mass produced sports car, and with its ventilated disk brakes fitted at all corners, and the front end utilizing four piston calipers, it has unmatched stopping power.

1:32 Bo.F-15E Strike Eagle Bunker Buster
300060312€150.00
Article number: 300060312 Product: 1:32 Bo.F-15E Strike Eagle Bunker Buster About the Boeing F-15E Strike Eagle w/"Bunker Buster" The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is regarded as one of the most capable twin-engine air-superiority fighters in the world today. Ever since its maiden flight in July 1972, this record breaking Mach 2.5 fighter has been a yardstick for jet fighter design. In the early 1980's, the Air Force requested McDonnell Douglas to modify their F-15 fighter into a dual-role aircraft to be known as the F-15E "Strike Eagle" for use as an air-to-air fighter, and for air to ground attack missions. This new version was designed to penetrate deep into enemy territory unescorted, and strike military targets with pinpoint accuracy. The strike eagle employs two highly reliable Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-229 engines and was designed specifically as a two-person crew of pilot and weapons system officer. The LANTRIN (Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infra-Red for Night) system enables the Strike Eagle to operate at night and in bad weather. The Strike Eagle can also be employed with up to an 11-ton payload and can carry the GBU-28 Bunker Buster, a guided bomb developed to destroy strengthened underground bunkers. The Strike Eagle was first deployed in December 1989. During the Gulf War in 1991, 2 squadrons of 48 F-15E Strike Eagles demonstrated their power as multi-purpose fighter/attack planes. About the model The popular F-15E Strike Eagle (item 60302) was released in 1993. However, since this items release, the F-15E has come to be equipped with a variety of newly developed weapons systems. Following the changes in times and aviation fighting technology Tamiya has modernized its kit to feature accurate replicas of all the latest weapons systems employed by the F-15E Strike Eagle. Includes parts for replication of the GBU-28 "Bunker Buster", as well as AGM-130 and JDAM guided bombs, and ARAAM air-to-air missiles. 1/32 scale, total length 600, total width 404mm. 1:32 F-4J PHANTOM II MARINES
300060308€140.00
Article number: 300060308 Product: 1:32 F-4J PHANTOM II MARINES About the McDonnell Douglas F-4J Phantom II Marines When test pilot Robert C. Little prepared to take off in the YF4H-1 prototype on May 27, 1958, few onlookers could have guessed at the success story yet to unfold. Over thirty years from that faithful day, the successors of that prototype, the Phantom series of aircraft, would be protecting the skies over the free world and see adoption by eleven nations including the U.S. Navy, Air Force and Marines. The Phantom II was developed by McDonnell Douglas and first pitted against Vought's F8U-3 Crusader III to see which aircraft would be the Navy's next main carrier-borne fighter. In 1959, the selection was made in favor of the robust Phantom II. The early production model, the F4H-1F, underwent various tests and training exercises, eventually leading to the F4H-1 model, which was deployed to several Navy and Marine divisions. In 1962, in efforts to unify the names of Navy and Air Force aircraft, the F4H-1F and F4H-1 became designated the F-4A and F-4B respectively. Just after its adoption by the Navy, the Phantom II showed the world what it was made of, breaking record after record, including top-speed, altitude, and time-to-climb. To top off these results, the U.S. Navy ran Project LANA, a transcontinental speed race. The roman L stood for the number 50, for "50th Anniversary of Naval Aviation". The contest was to demonstrate the Phantom's shocking speed and reach. Based on this impressive track record, and on comparative tests against Air Force fighters at the time, it was decided that the next main fighter of the Air Force would also be the Navy's Phantom II. The F-4B version was specially tailored to the needs of the Air Force, and became designated the F-4C. Further improvements to that aircraft resulted in the F-4D model. The Navy continued to make improvements to the Phantom II. Mounting the F-4B with an automatic carrier landing system, yet another variant, the F-4G was born. On May 27th, 1966, perhaps the best known of the Navy's Phantoms, the F-4J, made a successful maiden flight. It housed powerful General Electric J-29GE-10 turbo jet engines, the powered-up version of the J-29GE-8 engines used on the F-4B and F-4G. It was also fitted with an AN/AWG-10 radar on its fire-control system and an ASW-11 one-way data-link. Stronger landing gear of vacuum-melted steel fitted with wide tires were added to meet the strict sink rate requirements, and the top and bottom surfaces of the inner wings were slightly bulged out. The Navy's foremost requirement being improved takeoff and landing, the F-4J was added a slot to the stabilator leading edge, which provided tremendous down force at low speeds. This Phantom II was capable of carrying a maximum weapon load of about five tons, which gave it a truly powerful punch. Its main air-to-air armaments consisted of AIM-7 Sparrow and AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles and a 20mm gun pod. AGM-12 Bullpup and AGM-84 Harpoon air-to-surface missiles, as well as various bombs and rockets were also loaded in great numbers. In 1966, the 101st Fighter Squadron of the Navy became the first to be outfitted with the F-4J. Deployment to the Marines soon followed in 1967, with F-4J aircraft outfitting the 334th, 232nd, 235th, and 333rd Fighting Plane Squadrons. As the deployment of the F-4J to the Navy and Marines continued through 1967, U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War was getting deeper and deeper. Back in 1961, the U.S. government decided to send their troops to Vietnam to support the South Vietnamese government, but the chaos only worsened. It was the carrier-borne Phantom II that launched the air battle, engaging the MiGs of the North Vietnamese. In late May of 1968, F-4J aircraft from the Navy's 33rd and 102nd Fighter Squadrons arrived at the Gulf of Tonkin aboard the USS America. The Navy's Phantom II headed for North Vietnam for roles in bomber support and anti-MiG patrol. This jack-of-all-trades aircraft was equipped with Mk.82 bombs and Sidewinder missiles for self-defense, and often served as effective close support for the ground forces of the Marines. The service of the F-4J in Vietnam is highlighted by one particular episode. On September 11 1972, Major Thomas (Bear) Lasseter and Captain John D. Cummings of VMFA-333 "Shamrocks" shot down a MiG-21 near Hanoi, the only time in the war that a MiG was downed by a U.S. Marine aircraft. That F-4J was later downed by a SAM (surface-to-air missile), but the pilots were later rescued. The production of the F-4J ended in late 1972. However, because the development and deployment of its successors, the F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Hornet were late, about 250 F-4J planes were equipped with the latest fire control devices and engines, and later designated F-4S. These aircraft remained in Marine use until 1991. Battling in five major conflicts spanning over three decades, and breaking almost every conceivable aviation record, the highly versatile Phantom II earned a special place in warplane history. 1:32 F4U-1 Corsair "Birdcage"
300060324€135.00
Article number: 300060324 Product: 1:32 F4U-1 Corsair "Birdcage" The F4U-1 Corsair® was a truly unique aircraft, with a powerful 2,000hp engine and a massive 4m propeller, not to mention the highly characteristic inverted gullwings. In October of 1940, it was the first American fighter to achieve a speed of 400mph (around 640kph). Initial production models of the aircraft featured a striking canopy called the "Birdcage". The aircraft took part in operations from February 1943, and with its powerful 12.7mm machine guns proved to be a formidable opponent for the Japanese Zero Fighters. In order to capture the aircraft as accurately as possible, Tamiya designers not only inspected, measured and examined the real aircraft at five different museums across North America, they were also given access to Northrop-Grumman's blueprints. The result is a highly detailed and precise 1/32 scale model of the F4U-1 Corsair. Scope of delivery: Kit, instructions, decor Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

1:32 Mc Donnell DOUGLAS F-15 EAGL
300060304€125.00
Art.Nr.: 300060304 Product: 1:32 Mc Donnell DOUGLAS F-15 EAGL About the McDonnell Douglas F-15C Eagle At one time during the missile boom years, the U.S. Air Force believed future air battles could be decided by air-to-air missiles rather than guns in the traditional dog-fighting manner. The need for air superiority weapons was relearned during the Vietnam Conflict and led to an Air Force requirement for an all-weather, single-seat, twin-engined fighter. This aircraft was to optimize counter-air operations. The U.S. Air Force requested several manufacturers to study and develop prototypes during the late 1960's under the FX program (Fighter Experimental). McDonnell Douglas was awarded a contract to develop the F-15 Eagle jet fighter in December 1969. The Eagle's advanced aerodynamic design greatly reduced drag at both the low and high lift configurations, and achieved superior maneuverability during varying flight conditions. Making its maiden flight in July 1972, it was deployed in November 1974 as the F-15A Eagle, and had been in active service since then. It is powered by two Pratt & Whitney F100 afterburning turbofan engines developed exclusively for the for the F-15, and is capable of speeds in the Mach 2.5 range. The F-15 can carry a heavy load of devastating weapons, including the internally mounted 20mm M61A-1 Vulcan cannon, with 940 rounds of ammo, the AIM-7 Sparrow radar guided missile and AIM9 Sidewinder short range air-to-air missile. In 1979 an upgraded version of the Eagle was introduced as the F-15C. One notable change was the increase in fuel capacity, but even more fuel was made possible by the conformal fuel tanks, which snuggle between the wings and up against the jet inlet ramps. This increase in fuel capacity enables the Eagle to expand long range operations, such as escorting AWACS and strike aircraft to their targets. The Landing gear has been reinforced to accept the extra fuel weight, allowing a maximum take-off weight of 68,000 lbs (30844 kg). The F100 Pratt & Whitney engines were also upgraded for easier maintenance and increased performance. The F-15C's maximum rate of climb at sea level is more than 50,000ft (15,240m) per minute. As the Premier jet fighter the Eagle continuously receives improvements to keep pace with the changing state of the art. The multi-stage improvement program (MSIP) is organized to enhance the avionics, like the internal ECM system and computer capacity. The APG-63, provides excellent long range navigation and tracking for the Eagles' fighter interdiction role. Owning to its versatility, adaptability and ruggedness, the F-15 Eagle will certainly continue to play its role of an air superiority fighter well into the 21st century. 1:35 Brit. BT. Matilda Mk.III/IV(3)
300035300€52.99
Article number: 300035300 Product: 1:35 Brit. BT. Matilda Mk.III/IV(3) At the beginning of 1930, the British army made the decision to produce tanks for different roles, with production of the A12 "Matilda" beginning in 1936. At that time, the Matilda had the thickest armor at 60mm, came armed with a 2-pounder cannon, and had thick side skirts which protected the "Japanese type" bogies. Powered by two diesel engines, the Matilda had a top speed of 24km/hr which was deemed appropriate as it matched the walking speed of infantry. At the North African front, thanks to its impenetrable armor, the Matilda completely defeated the opposing Italian forces. Because of the strength of their armor, the Germans began to use 88mm guns which were the only weapons that could penetrate the Matilda. The Matilda was used throughout WWII and was also used by Soviet, Australian, and Allied forces under the Lend-Lease Act. •This is a 1/35 assembly kit model of the British Infantry Tank Matilda which saw action atthe North African Front during WWII. •Length: 174mm, Width: 72mm. •The Matilda's mechanical form has been accurately reproduced. •The number of parts required for the assembly of the gun turret, hull, and the complicated suspension has been minimized for ease of assembly. •Tall and short cupolas and two types of antennas are included in the kit. •Assembly and belt type tracks are included. •Full-size commander figure, as well as a loader and driver torso figures are included.(Total 3) •3 kinds of decals for the North African front are included. •The Matilda would look fantastic alongside other 1/35 vehicles from the North African front such as German Armored Car Sd.Kfz.223 (Item 35268), German Kubelwagen Type82 (Item 35238), German Armored Car Sd.Kfz.222 (Item 35286), Italian Medium TankCarro Armato M13/40 (Item 35296). 1:35 Fren. Tank R35
300035373€31.49
Article number: 300035373 Product: 1:35 Fren. Tank R35 Length: 114mm. A Doughty Light Tank By the 1930s French military planners could no longer ignore the obsolescence of their masterpiece FT17 tank from late WWI, and work started on a genuine successor to fill the void. One of the answers they came up with was the R35 light tank, which utilized rolled steel lower and three-piece cast upper hull designs and was armed with the short barreled 37mm gun. It was crewed by two. When hostilities with Nazi Germany burst into life in May 1940 the R35 was right in the front line. While it showed its armor was reliable, the 37mm gun was inadequate when it came to taking out German armor. The Fall of France in June 1940 meant that production of the R35 was curtailed to approximately 1,600 units. About the Model ★This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 114mm, width: 55mm. ★The R35 form with distinctive rounded hull and complex turret is accurately depicted. ★Turret utilizes slide molding for superior authenticity and a fulfiling build. ★Realistic gun elevation and traverse ranges add to the realism. ★Assembly type tracks feature one-piece straight sections for realistic depiction of upper run 'sag.' ★A single commander figure is included for installation upon the turret rear hatch. ★Comes with two early WWII marking options.

300035282€82.99
Article number: 300035282 Product: 1:35 WWII French MBT B1 bis (1) Defender of the Republic In May 1940, B1 bis tanks stood in the way of German armies determined to strike a crushing against France on her own soil. Introduced as an upgraded version of the original Char B1, which was developed in the nineteen twenties, the B1 bis entered production in 1937. The rivet-joined hull mounted a short-barreled 75mm howitzer, while a small, one-man turret carried a longer-barreled 47mm tank gun. The B1 bis was one of the most heavily armored tanks of its time, with plating that was 60mm thick in places, more than capable of defending against anti-tank fire such as that from 37mm Pak guns. The B1 bis could more than hold its own against individual German tanks, and was greatly feared by enemy soldiers who encountered it. About the Model ★1/35 scale assembly model of the French B1 bis ★Realistically depicts tank's tall profile, 75mm gun and side armor panels covering suspension mechanisms. ★Hull parts are made using slide molding and feature accurately depicted hex bolts. ★Newly-designed track parts require no cement to assemble and snap together easily by hand. ★Commander's and driver's periscopes are moveable, as is the 75mm main gun. ★Choice of two types of fenders and exhausts, combined with 4 sets of markings allows construction of each possible combination. ★Includes realistic metal tow-chain, and 1 tank commander figure. ★Comes with colorful painting guide and four types of marking decals. ★Reverse side of painting guide features an exciting article about the exploits of B1 bis tanks facing German Panzers Warning! 1:35 Ger. Halftr. w/4-Bar.AA Gun (5)
300035050€32.99
Article number: 300035050 Product: 1:35 Ger. Halftr. w/4-Bar.AA Gun (5) Recognising the excellent tractive force and cross-country ability of half tracks, the German Army Ordnance Bureau decided in 1932 to develop six military half tracks, from a 1-ton to a large 18-ton tractor. Different car makers were ordered to develop one of these. Krauss-Maffeir in Munich took charge of an 8-ton half tracks. Because this firm had given attention and study to half tracks since 1928, they completed a prototype, named KMm7 as early as 1933. It soon developed into the KMm8 and KMm9, and in 1936 the KMm10 was put into production. It was not until the KMm10 was born that the 8-ton half track was officially designated "Medium 8-ton Tractor (Sd.Kfz-7). The last production model, KMm11 was completed in 1938 and put into production immediately. The production of the 8-ton half track totalled about 1,200 in number by the end of World War II. One of these models was the 8-ton half track with 20mm four-barrelled AA machine gun (Sd.kfz 7/1) Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

1:35 Ger. Jagdpanzer IV/70 (V) Lang
300035340€59.99
Article number: 300035340 Product: 1:35 Ger. Jagdpanzer IV/70 (V) Lang This is a completely new model of the fearsome German tank destroyer Jagdpanzer IV Lang. It is designed from the ground up to be part of the long catalog of models offered in the Tamiya 1/35 scale line up of model kits. The original Jagdpanzer IV tank destroyer was based upon the Panzer IV vehicle and used extensive sloped armor with the 48-caliber 7.5cm gun that had already proven its worth on other vehicles. In January 1944, it was decided to upgrade the Jagdpanzer IV, with the powerful 70-caliber 7.5cm anti-tank gun installed in place of the original 48-caliber weapon. This bigger gun was fitted to the Jadgpanzer IV with the intention of giving it the ability to destroy Allied tanks without even entering their weapons range. It was also the origin of the name Lang, which translates into English as "long". The (V) was applied to vehicles manufactured by the German company Vomag. 930 Jagdpanzer IV /70(V) Lang vehicles were manufactured between August 1944 and March 1945, with German forces taking advantage of the exceptional range of the gun, employing it in both defensive and ambush roles even as their military situation worsened. December 2014 marks 70 years since the Battle of the Bulge, which was effectively the final German offensive of WWII. This model is perfect and right on time to liven up late Second World War dioramas. Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

Article number: 300035370 Product: 1:35 Ger. Marder I Tank Destroyer This is the latest subject in the long-running Tamiya 1/35 Military Miniature Series. The Marder I was one of the early German efforts to update a military that – despite crushing early successes against Poland and the Allied early in WWII – was in sore need of mechanization. Based upon the French Lorraine supply tractor, it was one of a number of commandeered vehicles pressed into German service. Around 170 were produced from May 1942, and their 7.5cm Pak40 anti-tank gun was a threat to Allied AFVs in France post-Normandy landings, and also on the Eastern Front and even North Africa. About the Model • This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. • Tamiya designers worked up close with a specimen in the Musée de Blindés, Saumur. The result is a highly accurate depiction of the compact chassis and bulging upper hull, complete with rivet and weld line details. • Interior features gun breech detail, sights, racks, radio equipment and more. • Assembly type tracks have single piece straight sections. • Bogies have an ergonomic parts breakdown. • Two figures are pictured looking to the skies, hinting at the breakdown of air control from their Luftwaffe after the Normandy landings. • Comes with three marking options, two from Normandy and one from the Eastern Front.

300035239€89.99
Article number: 300035239 Product: 1:35 Ger. SdKfz.9 Famo 18to Halftrack(8) Art.Nr.: 300035239 Artikelbezeichnung: 1:35 WWII SdKfz.9 Famo 18to Halbkette(8) About the "Famo" In the wake of Blitzkrieg advances made by the Wehrmacht at the outbreak of WWII, the recovery of damaged or broken tanks from the battlefield proved relatively simple. After securing an area, reinforcing divisions could easily send inoperative vehicles back to the homeland for repair via railway. However, in the seesaw battles with the British Army in North Africa and against the Russian Army on the Russian front, the quick replenishment of tank strength became an indispensable element of Wehrmacht battle strategy. The utilization of the 18 ton Heavy Half-Track "Famo" proved fundamental to this strategy. The proposal for the development of the Wehrmacht half-tracks was first made in 1932. Originally, three half-tracks, designated by their towing capability (5 ton, 8 ton and 12 ton) were designed, until 1936, when a light 3 ton vehicle and a heavy 18 ton vehicle, the largest one in the Wehrmacht, were also added. The 18 ton half track was mainly developed for the towing of 21cm and 24cm artillery howitzer and of course for tank recovery. It could also be used for the transport of over 30 troops. About the Model ★1/35 plastic assembly kit of the largest half-track in the German Army. ★Overall Length: 243mm, Overall Width: 75mm. ★Highly detailed model captures the size and tank-towing power of the FAMO. ★Realistic treads and suspension. ★Synthetic rubber front tires and steerable front wheels for maximum realism. ★Rear gate and storage doors can be assembled in the open or closed position. ★Tank towing drawbar included. ★Can be assembled with or without engine side panels, revealing fully detailed engine. ★Engine can be assembled outside of FAMO. ★Eight figures (four variations) included. 300035321€27.99
Article number: 300035321 Product: 1:35 Ger. Simca S5 Staff Car (1) The Simca 5 was a small passenger car which debuted in March 1936. It was almost identical to the Fiat 500 Topolino as the car was actually designed by Fiat. The car was equipped with an independent front suspension, a 4-speed transmission, hydraulically-controlled drum brakes, and a 12-volt electrical system. 1:35 German Heavy Tank Destroyer Elefant
300035325€76.99
Article number: 300035325 Product: 1/35 German Heavy Tank Destroyer Elefant This is a 1/35 scale assembly model of the German Heavy Tank Destroyer Elephant. Extensive research was conducted by Tamiya's designers to bring the modeling world the most accurate rendition to date. Historical background In 1941, Porsche created a prototype tank which incorporated radical features including a gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain. In 1943, the tank was transformed into the Ferdinand tank destroyer armed with an 8.8cm PaK 43 L/71 gun housed in a large box-shaped superstructure and 90 units were produced. During the Battle of Kursk, they demonstrated superior anti-armor capability to knock out T-34 and KV-1 tanks at long range, but their slow speed and unreliability resulted in many being immobilized by mechanical troubles. In 1944, 50 surviving Ferdinands were given modifications, including the addition of a machine gun, a commander's cupola, and were re-designated with the name Elefant. The Elefant saw combat on the Italian and Russian fronts, and some fought until the very end of WWII during the Battle of Berlin.

1:35 Israeli Tank M51 105mm
300035323€58.99
Article number: 300035323 Product: 1/35 Israeli Tank M51 105mm During the 1960's, the Israeli Ordnance Corps upgraded their M4A1 Sherman tanks by equipping them with the powerful French 105mm CN-105-F1 tank gun and they were redesignated as M51s. The larger gun meant a muzzle brake was installed to minimize the greater recoil effect and a counterweight was fitted to the rear of the turret. The 460hp diesel engine and the combination of the Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension (HVSS) and wider T80 tracks gave the M51 improved mobility. During the Six-Day War in 1967, the M51s were used against newer T-54/55 tanks as well as JS-3 tanks from Egyptian, Iraqi, and Syrian armies. The M51's 105mm gun could take on these adversaries by using HEAT ammunition. After the war, these M51s continued to serve with distinction until they were finally retired in the early 1980s. Plastic model kits – the perfect hobby for children and adults
As a creative and varied hobby, plastic model making is popular among children, adolescents and adults alike. With time, patience and skill, complex plastic model kits containing hundreds of small parts can be turned into eye-catching models.
Plastic model making – what are plastic model kits?
Plastic model kits are made primarily of plastic (and more specifically, polystyrene). In general, the focus of plastic models tends to be on detailed designs rather than functionality.
Most plastic model kits consist of so-called “sprues” (plastic frames) containing individual parts, which must be separated before assembly. Depending on the difficulty rating, the parts are either unpainted or come ready painted or printed. If the parts are unpainted, they must be painted using a brush or an airbrush pistol (paints must be purchased separately). With unpainted parts, you can decide whether to follow the template or create your own design. With the right know-how and experience, you can also create custom models by combining parts from several different kits – so-called “kit bashing” or “scratch building”.
What is the recommended minimum age for plastic model kits?
Plastic models are often highly detailed, and therefore require a certain amount of skill – an important factor to bear in mind before purchasing a model making kit for your child. Depending on your child’s age, they may not have the full range of fine motor skills required to assemble a model, and may end up feeling frustrated. As a parent, you should choose an age-appropriate model and provide appropriate supervision and assistance during the assembly process. With adult supervision, some plastic model making kits are suitable for children as young as five.
